- All sessions are 45 Minutes long.
How early should I arrive?
- Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, as the doors will be closed promptly on the hour.
Will I still be allowed to go into the session if I arrive late?
- Unfortunately, once the session has begun, late-comers will not be allowed in during that time session. We will try our best to fit you in during a later session that day as sessions run once every hour on the hour.
What should I wear?
- You should wear loose, comfortable clothing. You will remain fully clothed throughout the session, but no shoes are allowed in the salt cave. Clean white socks must be worn in the salt cave.
Can I wear perfume or fragrances in the cave?
- We ask that you refrain from wearing heavy perfumes, fragrances, or scents in the cave out of respect to others enjoying the session and the sensitivities that they may have.
Will I be allowed to enjoy the salt cave session if I forget my white socks?
- White socks are always to be worn in the cave. In the event that white socks are forgotten, they will be available at a low cost for purchase at the front desk. Part of the profits received from each pair of socks sold will be donated to charity.
Can I talk during the session?
- As the service is meant for relaxation, we ask that there be no talking in the salt cave.
Are cell phones allowed in the salt cave?
- No electronic devices are permitted due to possible damage from the salt in the air.
Will there be an area where I can leave my personal belongings during the session?
- There will be lockers provided right outside the salt cave where personal belongings can be left. Each locker occupied will be locked using a personal code set by you. Shoes can be left in the shoe racks, as well as coats hung up on the hooks outside the cave. (Note: We are not responsible for lost or damaged personal belongings.)
What should I expect when I enter the salt cave?
- As you enter the salt cave, an introduction will play over the sound system welcoming you and explaining what the session will entail. Soothing sounds will then play throughout the duration of the session.
Can I walk around during the session?
- We ask that you remain seated throughout the session. Due to the fact that the room is temperature controlled and pressurized, the doors will remain shut throughout the session.
What do I do during the session?
- Your time in the Salt Cave should be used to relax and enjoy the peaceful music while resting in our comfortable Zero Gravity lounge chairs with fresh blankets provided. Feel free to meditate!
Can I bring snacks or beverages into the cave?
- There is no food or drink allowed in the salt cave.
Can I wear jewelry in the cave?
- It is recommended that you not wear metal jewelry in the salt cave as it could be damaged or get lost in the salt covered floor.
Can salt therapy replace over the counter medications for certain illnesses?
- Salt therapy is a great alternative to over the counter medication for allergies, sinusitis, asthma, and other respiratory illnesses. It does not replace medical treatments; however, if you have other questions, feel free to contact your doctor.
Will I be able to bring a book and read in the salt cave?
- No, the room will be kept dimly lit in order for you to relax and enjoy the soft lighting and color therapy.
How much weight can the chairs support?
- Our Zero Gravity chairs can support up to 300 lbs. If you weigh more than 300 lbs, unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate you.
Can I bring my children with me?
- Children are allowed in the salt cave; due to the relaxing atmosphere that the cave offers, we have designated time slots available (Family Hour) for children to join their parents during the session. Children between the ages of 3-12 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Children must remain seated throughout the entire salt cave session.
Can I still enjoy the salt cave if I have claustrophobia?
- Yes, we do not lock the door so you would be able to exit the salt cave if needed. If you would like to reserve a seat near the door, please notify the front desk when making your appointment so that we can make that accommodation.
Are there any circumstances in which it is not recommended I go to the salt cave?
- Halotherapy should be avoided during the acute phase of any illness, including the following:
-Acute active tuberculosis
-Cardiac insufficiency
-COPD in the third stage
-Bleeding
-Spitting of Blood
-Contagious ailments
-Have use of an oxygen tank to aid breathing
-Alcohol or drug intoxication
-Unstable or uncontrolled hypertension
-Acute stages of respiratory disease
